Endodontics is a specialty within dentistry which focuses on prevention and treatment of pulpal disease. Endodontists must complete a 2-3 year residency program at an accredited university or academic setting in addition to dental school training to be recognized as a specialist. As endodontists, we have limited the scope of our practice solely to endodontics, and as such, perform no other dental treatments outside the realm of endodontics.
